In a Region where entrepreneurship abounds, a select group of outstanding business leaders have been chosen for induction into the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame at the annual Gala Awards event on November 8th. Recipients are selected for setting the achievement bar as outstanding leaders, having made a strong contribution to the Region. Inductees to be honored at the Gala event this year include:

Joerg Stieber, Ontario Drive & Gear Ltd.
The Piller Family, Piller’s Sausage and Delicatessens Ltd.
Carol Leaman, CEO of 17muscles, is the recipient of the Waterloo Region Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Intrepid Award for 2011. The Intrepid Award recognizes an entrepreneur who is already a strong leader and who has great promise for future contribution.
The Waterloo Region Entrepreneur Hall of Fame gala is hosted annually by Communitech and held at Bingeman’s Conference Centre as a centerpiece of Entrepreneur Week, which this year runs the week of November 7th.
“Entrepreneurship has underpinned the fabric of Waterloo Region for more than a century, and we welcome this annual opportunity to recognize some of the outstanding leaders in our business community,” said Iain Klugman, President and CEO of Communitech. “These inductees come from varied backgrounds and different business sectors, but they share a dedication to hard work and high performance.”
