The Communitech HUB Signs Lease    Article
Digital Media companies are a step closer to having a place to collaborate and share resources with the official signing of the lease for The Communitech Hub: Digital Media and Mobile Accelerator at The Tannery in downtown Kitchener. The Hub will be a centre for innovation in digital media and is expected to drive creation of new companies and jobs in Waterloo Region and across Ontario.

Ontario Government Infuses $26 Million into Kitchener Digital Media Hub    Article
Ontario's Minister of Research and Innovation John Milloy, MPP for Kitchener-Centre, today announced that the province is providing $26 million to Communitech to create Ontario's hub for digital media tools, technology and applications. The Communitech Hub: Digital Media & Mobile Accelerator will serve as a 'club-house' of innovation for digital media companies and entrepreneurs and drive creation of new companies and jobs in Waterloo Region and throughout Ontario.

Record Number of Students Taking Part in Entrepreneur Week 2009    Article
The future potential entrepreneurs of Waterloo Region ? young people from some of the area?s secondary schools -- are gathering for a special day on Wednesday, November 11th to hear what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur. Some 250 students will converge on Bingeman's Conference Centre to listen to entrepreneurs and share ideas about how to turn innovative ideas into a viable business. It's the fourth annual Leading Edge Youth Entrepreneurship Conference staged in conjunction with Communitech?s annual Entrepreneur Week.
