Anthony Reinhart, who describes himself as a recovering journalist, left The Globe and Mail to take on the role of staff writer at Communitech in June, 2011 after 23 years as a newspaper reporter. A fifth-generation Waterloo Region resident, he spent his first two years at The Guelph Tribune before joining the staff of his hometown paper, The Record, where he won a National Newspaper Award for short feature writing in 2002. At The Globe and Mail, his interview subjects ranged from Don Cherry to the Dalai Lama, but he mostly enjoyed telling the untold stories of unknown Canadians. He lives in Waterloo with his wife and two sons.
