Collaborative platforms for health + tech
The Ontario government is launching a new $50 million Ontario Together Fund to help businesses provide innovative solutions or retool their operations in order to manufacture essential medical supplies and equipment, including gowns, coveralls, masks, face shields, testing equipment and ventilators. This new Fund will support the development of proposals submitted by businesses and individuals through the Ontario Together web portal.
NSERC is providing up to $15 million in total support to stimulate collaborations between academic researchers and the public and not-for-profit sectors, and industry to address pandemic-related research and technical challenges. Support for up to $50,000 for one-year projects.
The Government is seeking to procure additional goods from suppliers if you are a supplier which can provide items from the list, or other items not listed, please complete the submission form for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) products and services.
The NGen Manufacturing Program supports collaborative technology development and application projects that help Canadian manufacturing companies compete globally. The program taps into Innovation Superclusters Initiative (ISI) funding to support groups of businesses that develop high potential technologies, create groundbreaking process transformation, and de-risk the adoption of technology.
