Despite market demand for technology sales professionals, there’s little technology sales training in the marketplace or in Canadian universities. We’re out to change that.
Communitech and the Lazaridis Institute at Wilfrid Laurier University are working together to address the shortage of tech sales talent through a multi-week intensive tech sales training program.
We’re looking for people with an energetic and outgoing personality looking for a career in tech sales. If you’re driven, self-motivated, possess strong communication skills, thrive in a competitive goal-oriented environment and are eager to take on a new challenge, we want you.
Communitech’s Tech Sales Apprenticeship is an industry-vetted “made in Waterloo Region” tech sales program. Under the direction of experienced sales professionals, you’ll participate in a three-week intensive learning program. With ten days in experiential sessions at the Communitech Hub, smack dab in the Innovation district, you’ll learn from instructors who know how to sell. And you’ll have five days onsite with some of the fastest growing tech companies in Waterloo Region.
80% of program graduates are hired within 90 days of program completion. They have gone on to join companies like Shopify Plus, Sortable, Vidyard, Bridgit, Chalk.com, Reebee, BigRoad, and others in junior sales roles.
We’re accepting applications for the third cohort which starts October 16, 2017 in Toronto. The cost for the full three-week program will be $2,500+ tax and fees. A $500 deposit is required to apply. This is fully refundable if you are not selected into the program.
