Communitech hosts Open House at newly refreshed Hub on June 18

Founders, partners and community members invited to connect and explore what’s next in tech in a new space

KITCHENER, ONT., May 13, 2025 — Communitech is opening the doors to its updated Hub with a community Open House on Wednesday, June 18 from 12 to 2 p.m. Guests can tour the updated space, meet the team and enjoy an afternoon of connection and conversation.

"We’re proud of our roots in downtown Kitchener, and of a community that keeps exploring what’s next," said Sheldon McCormick, CEO of Communitech. "This event marks a new chapter. We’re evolving how we support founders and their teams, meeting them where they are and keeping pace with the rapid changes in tech."

Whether you’ve worked in the local tech ecosystem for years or you’ve always wondered what happens inside the Hub, this is a chance to say hello and get a closer look at how Communitech supports founders and their teams.

What to expect:

  • A look at Communitech’s collaborative workspace and founder-first programs

  • Meet-and-greets with Communitech’s new CEO, team members and founders

  • BBQ lunch and sweet treats from a local ice cream truck
