Intelligent Mechatronic Systems (IMS), a leading connected car company, unveiled its first official public beta Android app, in a move that signals the growing need among drivers looking for a safer alternative to stay connected and productive while on the go.

The new DriveSync® connected car technology combines the best of infotainment with the fun of social networking – turning any vehicle into a connected car while being fully portable from vehicle to vehicle.

DriveSync uniquely puts drivers at the center of the experience and works through a smartphone. Using a voice-powered “tap and talk” interface, drivers can safely send and receive texts and emails, access Internet radio, and update Facebook and Twitter. Drivers also get access to an exciting, new social community where they can share their location in real-time with family and friends, while custom permissions settings keep them in control of what they share and who they share it with.

IMS is opening up the private beta to external users who are interested in helping test the new DriveSync app before it makes it to final release, and to provide feedback that will help save time, money and lives.
