Communitech's largest annual gathering, the Tech Leadership Conference, is now less than a month away. The Communitech Podcast is interviewing some of the upcoming speakers, talking this week to Dr. Chris Eliasmith. As Director of the Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo and a Canada Research Chair in Theoretical Neuroscience, Eliasmith knows enough about the brain to build one.

In fact, he did: It's called Spaun and it's is the largest functional brain model in the world. Now, Eliasmith and his new company Applied Brain Research are hoping to use their thinking machines to revolutionize computing.

Eliasmith will be delivering a key learning session, "Building a Brain," at the Tech Leadership Conference on May 12.
