WATERLOO, ON., April 6, 2021 – Toxon Technologies announced today the availability of a brand new BOWdometer mobile app experience for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The new app delivers exciting new archery experiences when using the BOWdometer archery practice companion. This new app has been designed in collaboration with archers all over the world and has been tested by a group of 75 archers.

BOWdometer is the industry’s first archery practice companion designed for archers of all skill levels. Archers around the world are using BOWdometer to track their practice and maintain their gear. The core of BOWdometer is the Shot Xi system that provides instant feedback on an archer’s shooting consistency. By tracking every shot they take, archers can see their Shot Xi improving over time to know their practice is paying off.

“BOWdometer stands out as an archery product in that it truly is for all archers. Regardless of discipline or shooting level, BOWdometer provides valuable insight into an archers technique and training,” said Naomi Jones, Product Marketer at JVD Archery, Toxon Technologies’ largest distribution partner. “With this new app comes the chance for archers to dig further into their data and connect with the wider archery community making BOWdometer an unmissable training partner.”

The new BOWdometer app features include functions to organize practice sessions, track progress towards goals and lets archers connect, compete and celebrate achievements with friends. The app also enables new shooting modes based on the archer’s practice goals; tuning form and setup changes, or challenging themselves to take their skills to the next level.

This new app forms the basis of the BOWdometer Open Platform, which allows anyone to get creative with shot data from their bow. Artemis, the premier high performance training app, is the first application to integrate with BOWdometer’s Open Platform, using BOWdometer products to access live sensor data to help archers analyze their bow cant and aiming patterns through their app offering.

“Launching this new app into the archery community gives archers unprecedented access to their shot data and lets them see how they stack up with friends around the world,” said Marianne Bell, co-founder and COO of Toxon Technologies. “Working with archers to bring new, exciting tech into their archery experience is a realization of the vision we’ve had since day one.”

Toxon Technologies launched the BOWdometer at the 2020 ATA Trade Show and began shipping BOWdometer to archers and archery distributors in March 2020. Today, archers have used BOWdometer to track consistency of millions of shots. BOWdometer is available in retail shops in over 30 countries and online at bowdometer.com.
